Thank you for your continued use of ABCI.
Starting from FY2025, some of the application requirements for development acceleration use will be changed. Specifically, we have so far permitted the development acceleration use by a “company” (Article 4, Paragraph 1 of the Agreement) that is a legal entity as defined by the Companies Act (Act No. 86 of 2005) that has a domicile and is registered in Japan, and is also a specified business operator under the Small and Medium Enterprise Management Strengthening Act. This requirement will be abolished from FY2025 onwards.
On the other hand, usage by universities, public institutions, and non-profit organizations located in Japan, as well as usage as part of commissioned or subsidized projects funded by public research funds, will continue to be eligible for development acceleration use.
This change is aimed at providing ABCI 3.0 in a manner that aligns more closely with the purpose of supporting public use for cutting-edge AI technology research and development, evaluation, and human resource development. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
