Advance Notice: Launch of the Frontier AI Development Support Program
Starting in FY26, we will expand the Accelerated Development Use and launch a new Frontier AI Development Support Program, which will enable large-scale, long-term reserved use.
The Frontier AI Development Support Program aims to support the research and development of AI models with advanced reasoning capabilities and general-purpose functionality—so‑called Frontier AI models. The program is intended not for experimental or short-term use, but for long-term R&D that continuously allocates computing resources to improve model performance.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this program, all of the following conditions must be met:
- The usage must fall under the Accelerated Development Use category.
- The scale and duration of usage must meet the following:
- A total of 32 nodes or more must be used.
- Usage must fall within the period from July 1, 2026 to March 30, 2027, in principle.
- Usage must be continuous on a daily basis, with a reserved period of 90 days or longer.
Terms of Provision
- Usage Fees
- A 15% discount will be applied to the reservation fees under the Accelerated Development Use.
- The number of usage points per node per day will be reduced from 270 points to 229.5 points.
Notes
- Compensation for service interruptions due to maintenance or failures is currently under consideration as part of a revision to the service agreement.
- No compensation will be provided for restrictions such as power capping implemented to ensure stable operation.
