Important Notes
- Before using ABCI services, you are required to obtain ABCI points by paying the usage fee equivalent to ABCI points.
- The unit for acquiring ABCI Points is 1,000 points. The rate for one ABCI point is subject to revision each fiscal year.
- Additional ABCI Points can be obtained at any time. However, **the number of additional ABCI Points that can be obtained after Oct 1 may be capped based on the number of ABCI Points used by each usage group as of Sep 30 of the relevant fiscal year. **
- **The total number of points that one ABCI Group may hold (the total number of ABCI Points obtained minus the number of ABCI Points used, the “ABCI Point Balance”) will not exceed 19,000,000 points. When contracting the execlusive use of ABCI computing resources for multiple years, the total number of points is calculated by multiplying the aforementioned number of points by the number of contract years. **
- ABCI Points will be reduced according to the amount of computing resources used, and will no longer be available when the balance is depleted.
- Points that are not fully used by Mar 30 5:00pm (Japan Standard Time) of the fiscal year in which the application is submitted will expire and cannot be carried over to the following fiscal year. However, if the ABCI is unavailable for use by Mar 30 5:00pm (Japan Standard Time) due to unavoidable circumstances, such as a failure of the ABCI or a natural disaster not attributable to the user, and the period of unavailability exceeds 20 days, the ABCI point balance obtained for the fiscal year will be carried over to the following fiscal year.
- The usage fee will not be refunded.
- The fee shall be free of charge in the following cases
- In cases where free use of ABCI is approved, such as the implementation of a proposal planned by the Institute and AIST Solutions.
- In other cases where the Institute and AIST Solutions approve the use of the ABCI free of charge.
