The ABCI usage fee will be increased by 11% in FY2023.

- Benefit 1: 1,000 points can be purchased for 198,000 yen (including tax) only for the first application.
- Benefit 2: 10% of the number of points earned in FY2021 (actual value) will be returned free of charge if you “apply for continued use” by June.
- FY2020: 200 yen (excluding tax)
- Benefit 1: 1,000 points can be purchased for 180,000 yen (excluding tax) only for the first application.
- Benefit 2: 10% of the number of points earned in FY2020 (actual value) will be returned free of charge if you “apply for continued use” by June.
- FY2019: 200 yen (excluding tax)
- No benefit in FY2019.
- Consumption tax is 8% until Sep 30, 2019 and 10% since Oct 1, 2019.

ABCI Service Menu and Usage Fees for ABCI Points (FY2023)
- The point acquisition unit is 1,000 points (220,000 yen (including tax)).
- New “Rack Occupancy Annual Use” service will start in FY2023.
- There will be changes to the service offerings for the resource types provided by the Memory-Intensive Node, in FY2023. See (∗1)(∗2) below.
- Other point billing tables will remain unchanged.

Application for ABCI Rack Occupancy Annual Use Service (FY2023) New
| Application for usage | In accordance with Article 6-2 of the ABCI Terms and Agreement, please fill out the "Application for Registration of Multiple ABCI Groups for Collective Use" (Appendix Form 4) or the application screen displayed on the Website under the jurisdiction of the Institute (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Application Form"). For the "Number of points," enter "450,000 points" if you wish to occupy 3 racks, or "600,000 points" if you wish to occupy 4 racks. |

Before using ABCI services, you are required to obtain ABCI points by paying the usage fee equivalent to ABCI points.

The unit for acquiring ABCI Points is 1,000 points.The rate for one ABCI point is subject to revision each fiscal year.
- Additional ABCI Points can be obtained at any time. However, the number of additional ABCI Points that can be obtained after Oct 1 may be capped based on the number of ABCI Points used by each usage group as of Sep 30 of the relevant fiscal year.
- The total number of points that one ABCI Group may hold (the total number of ABCI Points obtained minus the number of ABCI Points used, the “ABCI Point Balance”) will not exceed 600,000 points.
- ABCI Points will be reduced according to the amount of computing resources used, and will no longer be available when the balance is depleted.
- Points that are not fully used by Mar 30 5:00pm (Japan Standard Time) of the fiscal year in which the application is submitted will expire and cannot be carried over to the following fiscal year. However, if the ABCI is unavailable for use by Mar 30 5:00pm (Japan Standard Time) due to unavoidable circumstances, such as a failure of the ABCI or a natural disaster not attributable to the user, and the period of unavailability exceeds 20 days, the ABCI point balance obtained for the fiscal year will be carried over to the following fiscal year. If the period of unavailability exceeds 20 days, the balance of ABCI points obtained in the current year may be carried over to the following year.
- In the case of annual use of Rack Occupancy, if the ABCI is unavailable for a period exceeding 30 days due to the failure of the ABCI or unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters or use of the ABCI in the “Grand Challenge” event, which are not attributable to the User, the Institute shall pay the relevant User Corporation (Formula: [Number of ABCI Points obtained in the fiscal year] x [Number of days exceeding 30 days] / [Number of annual subscription days in the fiscal year (from the day ABCI service begins on or after Apr 1 until Mar 30 of the following year)]) shall be allocated to the following fiscal year free of charge.
- The usage fee will not be refunded.
- The fee shall be free of charge in the following cases
- In cases where free use of ABCI is approved, such as the implementation of a proposal planned by the Institute.
- In other cases where the Institute approves the use of the ABCI free of charge.
